BBL Hair Removal

BBL stands for Broad Band Light, it is the most advanced light therapy technology.

A pulse of light is emitted, which is absorbed by the pigmentation, and blood vessels of the hair follicle. When that light is absorbed it is converted to heat, which then destroys the follicle. When the hair follicle is destroyed, it is unable to re-grow hair. Because of the unique properties of each wavelength, the tissue surrounding the hair follicle is left untouched leaving you simply smooth.

During the BBL Hair Removal process, we apply a clear gel to the skin to help distribute the heat on the surface of your skin. The treatment delivers pulses of light to the hair follicles, preventing the hair follicle from regrowing. This process doesn’t harm the skin surrounding the hair follicle.

Your eyes will be protected with safety goggles during the treatment.

It is possible for patients to experience a warm or tingling sensation. We always discuss side effects in your consult with our therapist.

Because every patient is different, results will vary depending on certain factors. Most patients start to see a decrease in hair after the second treatment and the reduction is continued throughout the course of treatments.

Long term results will depend on multiple factors such as hair thickness, the area treated and your personal hair growth cycle. This will be different for every individual and we will assess this in your initial consultation to talk about real results for you.

Immediately after BBL Hair Removal, you will notice some redness in the area treated. It may also feel warm, this will disappear within a few hours. Please avoid direct sun exposure and make sure you are using sunscreen, the area will be sensitive for a few days after treatment.
